PCMCH Maternal-Newborn Committee Seeking Members for MNC

Are you passionate about advancing perinatal and newborn health while addressing inequities and ensuring high-quality, family-centred care? Do you have experience in perinatal care and are interested in contributing to provincial health initiatives?

What Is the Maternal-Newborn Committee?

The Maternal-Newborn Committee (MNC) is a standing committee of the Governing Council at PCMCH with a mandate to provide evidence-based leadership for perinatal and newborn health in Ontario.

The MNC:

  • Advances an integrated, coordinated system offering timely, equitable, high-quality family-centered care
  • Addresses care across all levels, from primary to tertiary and specialized services, and ensures the work is relevant to various settings and regions
  • Collaborates with the Ministry of Health, government agencies, provider organizations, regional networks, and other partners to make Ontario the best place for childbirth with the highest quality and safest care experience possible

What We're Looking For

The composition of the MNC reflects the breadth and scope of PCMCH’s work in perinatal and newborn health services across both the continuum of care and the geography of Ontario, and strives to ensure members possess diversity of skills, experience and perspectives.

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you bring experience in one or more of the following roles/settings:

  • Indigenous Midwifery
  • Family Practice/Primary Care
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Neonatology
  • Public Health
  • Community Health
  • Community Hospitals
  • Tertiary Care
