Three new Disability and Pregnancy resources that support healthy pregnancies for people with disabilities and provide advice to the healthcare professionals providing their care are now available.
Developed collaboratively with an international team of researchers, people with lived experience, healthcare providers, social workers and policy makers, the resources contain information tailored for healthcare administrators, healthcare providers and people with disabilities who are planning a pregnancy, pregnant or recently postpartum. Each resource describes potential barriers to pregnancy care and complications, as well as providing recommendations and other resources that can help administrators, healthcare providers and parents with disabilities address health challenges.
