The goal of the Ontario Paediatric Diabetes Network (PDN) is to ensure the best possible health outcomes for children and youth affected by diabetes in Ontario. To this end, PCMCH oversees coordination of the PDN by fostering system improvement, providing opportunities for professional development, promoting linkages between the paediatric diabetes education programs (PDEPs), assisting with the development and dissemination of resources and guidelines, promoting consistency in standards of practice, and providing individual program support. The PDN consists of thirty-five specialized paediatric diabetes programs including thirty secondary level programs in communities across Ontario, and five tertiary level programs located in Toronto, Ottawa, London, Hamilton, and Kingston.
